
The Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, has been designated as the new Chairperson of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governors’ Forum.

It mentioned that the governor's appointment has come at a pivotal moment when the country's democratic institutions are under increasing strain, and the populace is seeking enhanced accountability from their elected officials.
As per the statement, Makinde’s leadership attributes have become more prominent in recent times, particularly as the nation grapples with economic difficulties, insecurity, and broader governance-related issues.
