Rivers Crisis: Wike, Fubara Camps Make Breakthrough

Naija News reveals that committee members engaged with Fubara at the Government House in Port Harcourt this past Sunday.
This marked the second occasion within two weeks that the committee, led by Magnus Abe, convened with Fubara.
This information was included in a Government House announcement made in Port Harcourt on Sunday, which was distributed to the media.
The Rainbow Coalition assured that regardless of previous political conflicts, no individual from their ranks would face retribution or prejudice in the ongoing efforts aimed at fostering peace.
The coalition emphasized that in this new environment of reconciliation and harmony, everyone would be treated with fairness and dignity.
Abe, the head of the committee, mentioned that the purpose of the gathering was to discuss strategies for achieving peace.
Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Abe conveyed the committee's intention to inform the Rivers State populace about the new course the state is embarking on.
Abe remarked, “I believe the people of Rivers will be eager to learn the specifics of our discussions.
“Thus, I am confident that this will be very encouraging news for all individuals in Rivers who are interested in the unity, development, and success of the state. We are united in our views and have made significant advancements.
“Our collaboration represents a crucial transformation in the state's political landscape, and we trust that all well-intentioned residents of Rivers will be pleased to witness the long-desired peace becoming a reality.”
Dr. Samuel Nwanosike, the spokesperson for the All Progressives Congress, South-South Zone, who was part of the group, expressed gratitude to Fubara for his openness in allowing the committee to engage with him in a brotherly manner.
“I’m extremely pleased. The previous meeting was successful. Today's discussion exceeded expectations and clearly demonstrates to the citizens of Rivers State that the family is indeed reunited, and they will soon observe the tangible actions of the Rainbow Coalition.
“We are committed to providing the people of Rivers State with the benefits of democracy that they have been anticipating from various fronts,” Nwanosike stated.
