CREDICORP launches C.L.I.C.K.D. Scheme with FG’s 3MTT Programme, expands affordable consumer credit

As a component of its goal to make consumer credit more accessible, enhance economic opportunities, and enable countless Nigerians to elevate their living standards through responsible lending, the Nigerian Consumer Credit Corporation (CREDICORP), in collaboration with the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, officially introduced the C.L.I.C.K.D. Programme (Credit for Laptops, Internet, Connectivity and Knowledge Digital Devices) at the Afreximbank African Trade Centre (AATC), located in Abuja, on July 21, 2026.

C.L.I.C.K.D. represents a financial initiative aimed at technology, initiated in conjunction with the Federal Government’s Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Programme. This program offers eligible Nigerians organized and affordable consumer credit to acquire laptops, internet-ready gadgets, and other digital resources, thus eliminating the initial financial hurdle that has hindered numerous skilled Nigerians from fully engaging in the digital market. Beginning with computers assembled domestically, C.L.I.C.K.D. is designed to encompass all types of devices and digital instruments essential for the workforce, ranging from internet-enabled gadgets to connectivity options, ensuring that local assembly is prioritized at every phase.

The initial program emphasizes training for fellows via the Learn2Earn platform, where many participants gain critical digital capabilities without access to the necessary devices to complete their training and move into jobs or start their own businesses. Executed in partnership with Fidelity Bank as the credit management collaborator and NASENI and Imose Technologies as device producers, this initiative will supply 1,000 locally assembled laptops to qualified fellows throughout Nigeria, with 77 recipients in Abuja obtaining their devices at the launch event as part of the first stage of a broader national rollout. Manufacturing the devices in Nigeria highlights how consumer credit can enhance digital access, boost local production, and enrich the nation’s technology landscape.

The gathering was led by the Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, who acted as the Chief Launcher for the initiative.

With C.L.I.C.K.D., we are enabling qualifying Nigerians to engage more deeply in the opportunities generated by the 3MTT initiative while reinforcing local manufacturing through the deployment of devices assembled domestically,” stated Dr. Bosun Tijani, Honourable Minister of Communications, Innovation and Digital Economy.

By integrating cost-effective consumer credit into a national talent initiative like 3MTT, starting with laptops assembled locally, we are offering eligible Nigerians a sensible route to obtain the necessary tools for education, employment, and income generation, while promoting the Federal Government’s goal for industrial growth and job creation in various regions,” stated Engr.
